Apple Outlines 8 Samsung Devices it Will Seek to Ban

The great battle between two technological giants (Apple and Samsung) is something that has implications for mobile-phone users around the globe. The Samsung galaxy series has become one of the biggest brand names in the tech industry and had a huge impact on Apple. Recently Apple filed a case against Samsung saying that the Korean company has infringed their patents.

The biggest court trial in tech has ended with a verdict in Apple’s favor. After a relatively short consideration, the jury decided that Samsung infringed Apple’s property with numerous devices. Therefore the Korean company will have to pay $ 1.05 billion in damages to Apple.

Apple’s legal team identified the Samsung devices, whose ban will be required. The list includes 8 smartphones which are members of the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S II families. These devices include

  • Galaxy S 4G
  • Galaxy S2 AT&T
  • Galaxy S2 Skyrocket
  • Galaxy S2 T-Mobile
  • Galaxy S2 Epic 4G
  • Galaxy S Showcase
  • Droid Charge
  • Galaxy Prevail

Both Apple and Samsung have also filed lawsuits in Germany, Japan, South Korea, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Britain, and Australia. But ultimately it is the consumers along with the judges who will decide. The smartphone industry is worth over $200 billion a year; therefore it is a battle worth fighting.
