In some states, such as Florida, kids will be back in public school on August 18. In other states, that happens right after Labor Day. In any case, the kiddos and their parents are getting ready for the Back to School season. That got me thinking about the fact that we need school supplies and uniforms. Even though public schools will usually provide children with everything they need for the classroom, they also post a list on the Internet or mail it to the parents, of the required supplies for the school year.
If you can afford to, consider donating an extra set of everything your child requires, such as scissors, glue, pencils, notebooks, erasers, folders and whatever else is on your school list. In these days we truly don’t know if and when it will be our time to be on the receiving end and it will feel good to have helped another family that may not even look like they need your help!
