As a writer and an avid reader, books are my reading material of choice. I use them for research, for knowledge and entertainment.
However, there are times when I prefer a magazine, either because I only have the time to read an article, or because I need a lighter read, depending on the nature of the publication.
When I travel, at the airport I sometimes buy a magazine that I would not usually read, simply for distraction. Even though gossip magazines are not my cup of tea, I do confess to enjoying them when I need to space out.
